Hollie Lyko Hollie is currently a MFA Candidate at Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY.
She grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs with her mom and five cats. In 2010, Hollie earned her BFA in Ceramics from the University of Hartford, where she studied under Matt Towers and Walter Hall. After graduating, Hollie moved to the Midwest where she maintained her studio at Mississippi Mud Studios in Dubuque, IA.
While living in Iowa, Hollie was selected for numerous shows nationwide and was an Artist in Residence at the Corning Center for the Fine Arts. Her focus was mainly on small, slab built, landscape forms surfaced with spray paint and flocking. During her time at the Corning Center for the Fine Arts, she transitioned to large coil built vessels with traditional slip inlay and glaze. In 2013, Hollie moved to Greenville, North Carolina, where she maintained her studio at Art Avenue, a contemporary studio and gallery in downtown Greenville.
